Tatum Lorway is an illustrator emphasizing emotion and symbolism in her art. Based in Michigan, she graduated from College for Creative Studies gaining a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Illustration – whilst also winning an Imre J. Molnar creative achievement award in the process.

Her art incorporates a well balanced mixture between representational and graphic elements. Consistently including human elements and attention to anatomical detail in all of her pieces, she enjoys not only portraying people, but different types of stories as well. Her subject ranges from historical figures and political statements, to book covers, editorial illustrations, and more. 

Trained in traditional art making, such as painting and drawing, along with digital, her recent work is done digitally with traditional approaches incorporated within the process. Tatum’s artwork has been exhibited in her hometown of Detroit, and she has spent the past few years passing on her knowledge and expertise as an art teacher.
