JUAN CARLOS BELTRÁN

from £18.00

DESERT GATE

#ARTIST351 | MEXICO

Juan Carlos Beltrán is a Mexico-based visual artist whose work explores the tension between the observable and the imagined, blending photography, video and generative AI to create immersive dreamlike worlds rooted in memory, identity and cultural symbolism.

Working through a magical surrealist lens, Juan reinterprets Mexican landscapes and architecture into atmospheric visual narratives where familiar environments dissolve into speculative and emotionally charged scenarios. His work challenges traditional representation, using emerging technologies to explore themes of obsolescence, nostalgia and cultural transformation.

His acclaimed project From Barragán to the Desert was named a finalist at the 2025 AI Design Awards, while his installations and visual interventions have been exhibited and featured through Zona Maco, Art Week Mexico City, Casa de Frida, Architectural Digest, Hypebeast and The New York Times Style Magazine. His growing list of collaborations includes Bang & Olufsen, Tiffany & Co, Apple and Kerala Dust.
