Ibrahim Sayed is a Sudanese artist, cartoonist, designer, photographer and filmmaker currently based in Saudi Arabia. With more than 20 years of experience, his work spans caricature, children’s literature, comics and animation, and has been exhibited internationally, including representation in collections such as the Queen Sofia Museum in Spain.
His stories The Golden Wheel and Uncle Osman’s Garden were selected for Sudan’s Hajjaytak Children’s Literature Competition in 2021 and 2022. Alongside publishing and illustration, he has contributed to numerous Arab and international newspapers and publishing houses.
Deeply engaged in visual culture and Sudanese and African history, Ibrahim is a driving force behind animation in Sudan. He is the founder of the Sudan International Animation Film Festival and creator of the award-winning film Winji, as well as initiatives supporting children’s arts and storytelling.
